“A sturdy linen weave forms the ground for meandering cotton chain-stitch designs in modernist patterns, and chunky bars of satin-stitch embroidery, to give a decidedly fresh modern look to the ancient craft of stitchery. Printed fabrics, in linear designs, are rendered in a painterly manner, some like gentle watercolours, some in pointillist dots. Light filters through a curtain of very fine linen, pieced together in a geometric patchwork, and reflecting its abstract patterns on floor and walls.
