“This tree of life is engraved after a gouache on paper from 1885 from the collections of the Museum of fabric-printing in Mulhouse. The imaginary flowers and plants decorate this tree of life with elegance. The finesse of the motifs and the richness of the ornaments give a lot of delicacy, in contrast with the natural movement of the tree structure. The interpretation of the drawing and the 3-dimensional effects are realized with perfectly controlled flat-print zones. It is printed on a beautiful cotton cretonne, as well as on a washed half-linen fabric, with the natural color of linen appearing in the ground. Colorway 190 is identical to the original document design.”
