About Tapetorama
In January 2001, Dan Johansson, having just ended his former employment at the studio of award winning Swedish director Roy Andersson, by chance picks up the phone at the studio office and is asked whether somebody there would be interested in an old stock of vintage wallpaper.
This stock, containing some 20,000 rolls of wallpaper from the 1960s and 1970s, was the starting point for Tapetorama, a company specialising in vintage wallpaper, designer wallpaper and handprinted wallpaper. In September 2001 the first website was introduced and in 2002 a store was opened in Malmö, in the very south of Sweden. Further stocks of vintage wallpaper have since been found and we can now offer unique vintage wallpaper printed between the 1920s and the 1970s.
After having focused on vintage wallpaper alone for the first years, Tapetorama was soon to become known for having the best of new designer wallpaper. Our list of suppliers increases each year and include both popular best sellers such as Cole & Son and Osborne & Little, as well as small independent companies who may have only a handful of retailers in the world!
It is our aim to present only the very best in wallpaper design and manufacture, and this is best exemplified by our extensive range of handprinted wallpapers of unsurpassed quality. Some manufacturers, like Zuber, has been around since the 18th century, others were started in this century.
Since many of our suppliers also are among the leading producers in Europe of home furnishing fabrics, it has been a natural step also to include these products on our website. Having the possibility to choose both wallpaper and fabrics from the same manufacturer dramatically increases the chance of making a successful interior.
Working at Tapetorama is Dan, who is in charge of the design and programming of the website, and Karin, who handles the orders. We hope you will enjoy our website and especially encourage you to read our Terms of Trade and Frequently Asked Questions carefully.

You can call us by phone but we prefer orders and queries either by regular e-mail or by using the shopping cart on the website in order to avoid misunderstandings. It is important that you read our Terms of Trade and FAQ before ordering. However, orders outside Sweden are not binding until we have received payment. Please note that email is not fully reliable and may get lost in spamfilters. We try to answer emails within 24 hours but we are a small company and do not always succeed. If you have not received a reply within reasonable time please contact us. In case of urgency we recommend calling us.

Our store is located at Rådmansgatan 5 in central Malmö, in the very south of Sweden, between Triangeln shopping centre and the Arts Hall and close to the coming train station.
